When it comes to telephones, newer isn’t always better. We are not an IP telephone service. Smithville® uses traditional voice over a 100% facilities-based fiber optic network. It’s pure digital with all the benefits of VoIP – but instead of sending your voice out into the open winds of the Internet (and hoping it makes it through in one piece), your conversation goes directly from you to your clients.

PRI – Primary Rate Interface (PRI) is a bundle of 23 phone lines. PRIs are very cost effective for businesses that need more than four independent lines.
DID – Direct Inward Dial (DID) numbers are groups of phone numbers used to route incoming calls to a direct extension of a business phone system.
PBX – A large-scale phone system that serves as a local phone ‘switch’ placed inside your business, capable of enhanced features and custom call routing.
Key System – A smaller phone system, much like a mini-PBX, meant for businesses that need several phone lines.
We designed our network in strategic rings so that if a fiber cable is cut, your connection does not go down.
No matter how much we plan, sometimes things go wrong. What matters most, is how we respond in those situations. Our repair crews are within a one hour radius of any given point on our network and respond immediately, working until you are back up and running.
Unfortunately, one Christmas Eve an office building used by one of our clients was destroyed by fire. They were forced to make an emergency move. At their new location, we had them connected and ready for business within 24 hours.
